Built for licensed bail-bond agencies

The operating system for bail-bond agencies.

Capture each client once. Write jurisdiction-correct bonds across every state. Run a real double-entry ledger, e-sign and online bonding built in, court-date reminders, recovery and forfeiture workspaces, native mobile — all in one place. E-sign, online bonding and the agent app are included, not metered add-ons.

No spreadsheets. No re-keying. No state left guessing. No surprise add-on bill.

One system

Everything an agency runs on, in one place

The whole book of business — clients, bonds, money, court dates, documents, forfeitures and recovery — connected, not stitched together from a binder, a spreadsheet, and a notepad.

The client is the spine

Capture contacts, addresses, employers, references, indemnitors, collateral, IDs and payment methods once. Every bond references the client — edit once, it cascades, with full history kept.

Jurisdiction-aware bonds

Premium, fees, required forms and forfeiture clocks resolve from a data-driven state rules library covering all 50 states and DC — research-based and citation-backed. A new state is data, not a code change.

Money you can trust

A true double-entry ledger — premium, surety charge, BUF, commissions, payment plans and adjustments. Append-only, attributed, and always balanced to the cent.

E-sign & online bonding, built in

Native e-signature — packets, a box designer, timestamping and capture-back — plus online bonding where a client signs the contract remotely. Both included, no per-envelope fees and no third-party account required.

Court-date reminders

Automated email and SMS reminders to defendants and indemnitors, with per-agency lead times, documented consent, and one-tap opt-out — so nobody misses a date.

Forfeiture & surrender

Statutory clocks tracked from the law at event time, a first-hour action panel, and surrender execution — filing set to certificate to automatic exoneration — so a bond never slips to judgment unwatched.

Reporting that writes itself

Financial position, production, A/R aging, commissions, liability and carrier period reports — plus a permission-gated custom report builder and one-click exports.

Recovery operations

When a bond goes sideways, run the apprehension effort — agents, intel, skip-trace, an evidence chain and itemized costs — connected to the same case and money you already manage.

Native mobile, field-first

An iOS and Android app for the jail and the field — capture a client, write a bond, take a payment and check someone in offline, then sync when signal returns. Included, not a separate purchase.

How it works

Capture once. Write fast. Get paid. Stay ahead of court.

01 — Capture

One client record, reused everywhere

Bail paperwork is the same data entered over and over. We kill the re-keying: one structured record holds every party, address, ID and payment method, and every bond and document pulls from it.

  • Hard de-dupe so a returning client is never entered twice
  • Indemnitors, collateral and references modeled as reusable parties
  • Versioned history — edits cascade to open bonds, prior values retained

02 — Write

Bonds that already know the rules

Pick the jurisdiction and the engine does the rest — premium rate, surety charge, BUF, the required forms and the forfeiture timeline all resolve from sourced, versioned rule data. Validity is never gated: once the court accepts a bond, it's recorded as valid, with any compliance concerns flagged, not blocked.

  • 50 states + DC, each added as data with its citations
  • Effective-date versioning — the right rule as of the governing date
  • Most-specific-wins down to the county and court
The bonds list in SymphonicBail
03 — Get paid

A money system, not a money screen

Premium, surety remittance, BUF, commissions and payment plans run on a real double-entry ledger — append-only and attributed, so it can be audited and never silently edited. Take card payments through your own processor; statements show what's owed, net, at a glance.

  • Every economic event's entries sum to zero — guaranteed
  • Payment plans, collections worklists and carrier period reports
  • Bring your own card processor; receipts on every payment
The money dashboard in SymphonicBail
04 — Stay ahead

Alerts before the deadline, not after

Court dates, missed appearances, forfeiture and remission windows, reporting deficiencies and expiring inventory all roll up into one alerts hub — and out to defendants and indemnitors as reminders, the moment they matter.

  • Forfeiture-exposure visibility and one-click carrier reporting
  • Email + SMS reminders with documented consent and opt-out
  • A single place that answers "what needs me today?"

What it really costs

The honest total, not the sticker

Bail software sticker prices hide the real bill: e-sign per envelope, online bonding as a paid module, defendant monitoring per head, SMS by the message, background checks each. Here's a like-for-like scenario with the add-ons switched on — so you compare the total you'd actually pay, not the number on the homepage.

The scenario

A 4-agent agency: 40 active clients on re-arrest watch, ~500 texts/month, online bonding enabled, e-signature in use.

The honest read: we undercut Captira's and eBail's real totals while including what they meter — e-sign, online bonding and the mobile app all cost extra there. BailBooks lists a lower sticker, but it caps bond volume by tier and charges flat monthly fees for the payment portal and SMS we include — and it has no mobile app, recovery vertical or custom report builder. We're not the cheapest line on every row; we're the all-in price with no caps and no per-envelope surprises.

Sources & notes. Published vendor pricing, fetched July 2026. Our base tiers are founding beta pricing, rate-locked 24 months; the two usage lines marked * in our column are estimated at the scenario above (SMS ~500 × ~$0.03; re-arrest watch 40 × ~$1). Everything else is included in every tier.

a Captira e-sign runs through a DocuSign dependency — priced here as $0 but it requires your own DocuSign plan. b eBail e-sign: 10 docs free/mo, then $0.75/doc — excluded from the total shown; an active agency signs well past 10. c Captira "Bail Pay" online payments, +$29/mo. d BailBooks tiers cap monthly bond volume (Copper 20 → Silver 500) — the cap is the upsell lever; move up a tier as you grow. e Captira lists a "$65 Small Agency Promo" for ≤4 agents; the standard $99 base is shown. f BailVision is free for AIA-appointed agents — the real cost is captivity: switching sureties means losing your software. g Captira advertises "unlimited agents" but includes only 2 user logins; extra-login pricing isn't published, so a true 4-login setup could cost more than shown. h SMS billed per message at ~$0.05 (Captira / eBail) — ~$20–25 for 400–500 texts. i Captira Defendant Watch: $10/mo + $1.10/defendant (~$54 for 40); arrest-history reports are +$4 each on top. j eBail arrest monitoring: 10 free, then $0.75/defendant (~$23 for 40); background checks are +$4.75 each on top.

Vendor-agnostic background checks and public-records pulls, metered fairly.

Trust & architecture

Correctness is a feature

Multi-tenant isolation

Every agency's data is isolated at the database with row-level security — one query can never see another tenant's book.

Append-only money

Payments are immutable ledger entries, never edited in place — so two offline payments never collide and the books can't be quietly altered.

Role-based access

Granular roles and per-record scoping decide who sees what — an agent sees their own powers, not the whole house.

Immutable audit trail

Every meaningful change is recorded with who and when, in a trail that can't be rewritten.

Sourced, not invented

Every jurisdiction rule carries its citations and a verification status. Our rules library is research-based — we never present rules or generated documents as legal advice.

Your accounts, your keys

Bring your own payment processor, e-sign and email accounts. We orchestrate; we don't hold what should stay yours.
